Staff 1 Dan Krebs: Senior Pastor

Dan Krebs has been the Senior Pastor of Evangel Chapel since September of 2005. He is a graduate of Eastern Pentecostal Bible College where he completed his Bachelors degree in Theology in 1991. Dan along with his wife Lenise have enjoyed over 17 years of full time ministry where they have pastored in places like Marimachi New Brunswick; Red Lake Ontario and Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Dan’s passion for ministry has always focused on missions, both at home and abroad. Within the area of home missions, Dan believes that the Lord has placed Evangel, “in our community for our community” and that the ministries of the church need to reflect the needs that are represented in our neighborhood.
World missions is much of the same. Allowing the Lord to open doors for overseas opportunities where Evangel is able to provide both practical and spiritual comfort to the mission fields that He has made available to us.

It is Dan’s belief that if the church keeps these two focuses at the centre of our passion, that we will remain in the Lord’s will for his church and be blessed accordingly. For as James 1:27 says; “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." Staff 1 Kyle Ilott: Youth/Children's Pastor

Kyle, along with his wife, Kelly, have been part of the Evangel pastoral team since September 2005. He is a graduate of Central Pentecostal College (now Horizon College and Seminary) where he served on many ministry teams and was President of Student Council. Since college he has served as youth pastor in Regina, Saskatchewan, and presently as youth and young adult pastor at Evangel in Winnipeg.

Kyle’s burden for the students in this community is based on an unusual Scripture found in Lamentations 3:19-24 – where the prophet Jeremiah laments over the situation Israel is in and remarks that despite all the hardship, he must “grip onto hope” – a hope he says is only found in God. Guiding students and young adults to Jesus and teaching them to “grip onto hope” is the force that guides and drives his ministry at Evangel.

Tessie Martone: Administrator

Tessie joined our team in 2006 after God brought her here miraculously.
She comes to us with almost 20 years of business experience and has a heart and passion for prayer and the lost. She is a faith filled woman of God who desires to walk in obedience to all God calls her to be and do.

Dixie Funk: Drop Zone Co-ordinator

Dixie joined our team in January 2007. She came with a heart and passion for the lost. She ministers daily to the students of St. Vital as she humbly serves them a lunch meal.
