At Evangel Chapel we have several prayer-related ministries in operation. Each ministry seeks to help the Body of Christ become closer and more intimate with our Father.  If you have a heart for encouraging others to grow in prayer then Evangel Chapel is for you. Prayer is the foundation, heart and soul of Evangel.  We have a Pastor who supports, encourages and is an integral part of our prayer ministry.  If you are looking for a place that will pray for, care about and share the blessings of Christ with you then this is the place for you.

The Watchmen Ministry holds up each of our leaders arms in prayer and stands with them as they wage war against the enemies of God.  The watchmen ministers are the Aarons and Hurs of Evangel.

Prayer Shield Ministry is in operation to pray for the speaker of our church, and the people in attendance each Sunday.  They pray that God would open up the eyes of our hearts that we might know Jesus and become aware of His presence in our services.

We have Alter Workers made up of dedicated people who come to church each Sunday prayed up and ready to serve the body by praying for the needs of people who respond to the altar call.  The altar workers understand that God makes a difference through prayer in lives, situations and nations.

There is also the Prayer Chains, one via telephone the other via email. If you have an urgent need contact the office and we will be sure to pass your prayer requests to our prayer chains so that your need will be lifted before the throne of God.

Our Believers Meeting meets every Tuesday Evening at 7:00 pm to prayer for the needs of the local body, our city, our nation and all the nations.

Our Prayer ministry recognizes that prayer is a long-term strategy for accomplishing what God has called Evangel to.  We have a commitment to pray and work until we see completion. We pray for an increased hunger for His presence in our lives, our families, our church.  We understand that in His presence, people gain victory over habits or emotions that have held them captive for years.  Relationships are healed, lives are transformed, joy is evident and the powers of darkness are forced to retreat!
